War is looming once again in Tigray, a northern region of Ethiopia near the border with Eritrea. Political disputes are fragmenting the regional government and sparking warnings of a new crisis. Tigray has not yet recovered from a devastating war that ended in 2022. With aid cuts now worsening hunger and uncertainty, is it on the brink of another catastrophic conflict?

Designed a social media infographic for an Interactive Journalism class that tracks Pakistan’s mass deportation of Afghan refugees since September 2023. The posts summarize key data and major trends from UNHCR reports using clear, and shareable visuals.

This multimedia project tells the story of Riyaz Bhat, also known as the "Rugman." Bhat is a handmade carpet dealer who has called Doha home for the past 25 years. Bhat shares his journey with carpets, starting in his native Kashmir, to Soviet-occupied Afghanistan, and then finally to Qatar.
