SUSTAIN ME UGANDA

In August 2023, I worked alongside fellow Northwestern students on a sustainable development initiative in Tongolo, Uganda through Northwestern’s Global Engagement Studies Institute (GESI). I worked with a local women’s empowerment NGO called Sustain Me Uganda. Our project was set up with a socio-economic assessment aimed at identifying key areas for the development and empowerment of local women in Tongolo. My role involved planning and covering sewing and farming training workshops with my colleagues, conducting interviews with women to capture their experiences, developing a social media strategy, and maintaining transparent communication with accountability partners to ensure project success.
